Ba Be National Park
Day 1: Here We Are
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi early in the morning for a 5-hour drive to Ba Be National Park, with a stop for lunch in Cho Ra town. Upon arrival, kayak along the Nang River, passing Puong Cave and arriving at a Tay ethnic village. Continue to Dau Dang waterfall and trek through the forest, meeting Hmong villages before arriving at a Dao ethnic village where you will spend the night. - Kayak 10-13km on the river, walk 5-7km.
Day 2: Ba Be - Trekking
Start with a traditional local breakfast before embarking on a 10km hike to a Hmong village. Here, you will visit a local school, interact with the children and share gifts such as sweets, pens and notebooks. Enjoy a simple but delicious picnic lunch before continuing your 10km hike through remote trails to Coc Toc village. This final leg includes crossing the Coc Toc Stream, where you can watch local fishermen and take a refreshing swim. Afterwards, enjoy dinner by the campfire before spending the night in a traditional Tay stilt house.

Day 3: The Be - With Us
Enjoy breakfast on the outdoor balcony overlooking the lake, then board a boat to explore Ba Be Lake, which consists of three smaller lakes: Pé Lầm, Pé Lù and Pé Lèng. Established as a national forest reserve in 1978 and Vietnam’s eighth national park in 1992, Ba Be was recently recognised by UNESCO as the country’s third Ramsar site, a globally important wetland. You’ll have plenty of time to take in the stunning surroundings before we depart. After a scenic drive through the mountain passes, we’ll stop for a quick lunch and return to Hanoi before dark.
