Cuc Phuong National Park
Tour Overview
Cuc Phuong National Park lies around 100 kilometers south of Hanoi, within the borders of Ninh Binh province. Conveniently situated near popular destinations like Bich Dong Pagoda, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, and Sam Son Beach, the park serves as a great stop on a broader journey through northern Vietnam. Established in 1960, Cuc Phuong proudly holds the title of Vietnam’s first national park.
The park is encircled by dramatic limestone mountains, with the tallest peak—May Bac or "Silver Cloud"—rising to 656 meters above sea level. Cuc Phuong is rich in biodiversity, home to roughly 2,000 plant species and around 450 species of animals. Impressively, its wildlife makes up approximately 38% of Vietnam’s total fauna, making it a haven for nature lovers and conservationists alike.
