Northeast Vietnam Trekking Tour Schedule – Ha Giang, Cao Bang & Ba Be
After getting your permit in Ha Giang, travel to Dong Van through scenic mountain passes. Stop for lunch in Tam Son, hike to Lung Cam B village, then visit the King of the H’mong Palace. Continue to Dong Van for dinner and overnight stay. ~ 5-7km hike
Start with breakfast and a visit to Dong Van Market (if it's Sunday). Then, trek to Pu Lo Fortress for stunning views, followed by an 8 km climb to Ma Pi Leng Pass. Descend into Meo Vac valley, visit Meo Vac Market, and continue to Cao Bang. Dinner and overnight stay in Cao Bang. 8-km trek
Today’s highlight: Ban Gioc Waterfall. After a 2-hour drive from Cao Bang, enjoy the stunning 300-meter-wide falls on the China-Vietnam border. Take a bamboo boat ride close to the falls and explore the Nguom Ngao Cave's unique rock formations. Afterward, travel through scenic mountains to Quang Uyen, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and stay in a Nung village house. 2 - 3 km trek
Start the day with breakfast at the Nung’s house, then drive three hours to Cho Ra, heading to Ba Be National Park. After a local lunch, enjoy a boat and kayaking tour down the Nang River, exploring the Puong Cave and passing through steep cliffs. Visit highlights on Ba Be Lake, including Widow Island and Cam Village. 2 - 3 km trek
