Itinerary
Morning:
Begin your day with a guided tour of some of Ho Chi Minh City’s most iconic landmarks. Your first stop is the Independence Palace (also known as the Reunification Palace), constructed on the former site of Norodom Palace. Designed by Vietnamese architect Ngo Viet Thu, this historic building played a significant role during the Vietnam War.
Next, admire the charming French colonial architecture as you visit the Notre Dame Cathedral (currently under renovation—outside visit only) and the Central Post Office, both well-preserved symbols of the city's past.
Your cultural exploration continues at the War Remnants Museum, which houses extensive exhibits on the First and Second Indochina Wars, offering a powerful look into Vietnam’s history.
Lunch:
Enjoy a delicious meal at a local Vietnamese restaurant.
Afternoon:
After lunch, travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a journey of about 1.5 hours from the city. Upon arrival, begin with a short introduction and documentary video explaining how this impressive underground network was built and used during wartime.
You’ll then explore the tunnel complex, which features cleverly constructed living quarters, kitchens, storerooms, workshops, field hospitals, and command centers. Discover the hidden entrances, booby traps, and escape routes that made the Cu Chi Tunnels nearly impenetrable.
Enjoy a local treat of cassava and tea, once the staple food of guerrilla fighters.
There will be a short break—those interested can opt to try firing a real gun at the nearby shooting range (optional, with extra cost).
Afterward, return to Ho Chi Minh City, concluding the tour in the early evening.
