Itinerary: Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Mua Cave Full-Day Tour
07:15–07:45 – Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Depart for Ninh Binh, a scenic 2-hour drive through the countryside.
09:30 – Upon arrival in Ninh Binh, your journey begins with a visit to Hoa Lu, the former ancient capital of Vietnam. Explore historic temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, and learn about the early dynasties that shaped Vietnamese history in the 10th century.
12:00 – Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch featuring regional specialties at a local restaurant.
13:30 – Hop aboard a traditional sampan boat to explore Tam Coc, or “Three Caves.” Glide along a peaceful river flanked by rice paddies and majestic limestone cliffs. As you pass through the caves, take in the serenity and spectacular natural scenery that gives Tam Coc its nickname, “Halong Bay on land.”
15:30 – Head to Mua Cave, where you’ll begin a short hike up Ngoa Long Mountain. Reach the summit for breathtaking panoramic views of the Tam Coc valley and the sprawling countryside below — a truly unforgettable photo opportunity.
17:15 – Depart Ninh Binh and return to Hanoi by bus.
