Mai Chau – Pu Luong
Days 1: Ha Noi - Mai Chau - Pu Luong
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi for a drive to Hoa Binh Province, just 80km west. We’ll stop at a local market before heading to Mai Chau Valley and resting in Pom Coong village for lunch in a traditional Thai stilt house. In the afternoon, hike through Pu Luong Reserve, passing rice fields, mountains, and small villages, immersing yourself in the local way of life. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay with a local family in a Thai stilt house.

Days 2: Ethnic village
On the second day, for early risers, there's an optional activity to watch the sunrise over the mountains while local farmers go about their early routines. You can even join in to experience rural Vietnamese life. Afterward, enjoy a breakfast made by your Thai hosts before starting a 5-6 hour trek. The first part is challenging, with steep climbs and river crossings, but the reward is stunning views of valleys, rice terraces, rainforests, and streams.
A picnic lunch will be served at Hin Village, followed by the trek to Hieu Village, known for its beauty. Finally, you'll reach Kho Muong village, where you can relax, explore, or chat with locals. The total trek covers 12-15 km.
In the evening, enjoy drinks and socialize with the locals before spending the night in a traditional Thai stilt house.

Days 3: Mai Chau - Ha Noi
On your final day, enjoy a relaxing 3-hour trek (5-7 km) starting with an easy stretch to warm up and connect with the surroundings. After a rest in Ban Hieu Village, tackle steep climbs and thrilling river crossings, with breathtaking views from the valley’s elevated vantage point. After soaking in the sights, continue to Pho Doan Village for another rest before heading to the main road, where your driver will take you back to Hanoi. Enjoy lunch on the way, arriving at your hotel in the late afternoon.
