Embark on the legendary Cloud Triangle journey—conquering three of Northwest Vietnam’s most iconic peaks: Ta Tong (Nam Can), Ta Xua, and Ta Lien Son. Each mountain rises above 2,800 meters, offering a breathtaking trekking experience through dense forests, cloud-filled ridgelines, and ancient, moss-covered woodlands. This is a bucket-list expedition for serious trekkers and cloud hunters.
Itinerary
Depart from Hanoi at 4:00 AM by private van/sleeper bus.
Arrive in Muong Te (Lai Chau) around noon. Lunch and trek preparation.
Begin trekking to Nam Can Peak (Ta Tong) in the early afternoon.
Set up camp in the forest at ~2,400m.
Overnight camping in the jungle.
Early summit push to Nam Can Peak (2,826m) – the first of the Cloud Triangle.
Return to base, have lunch in Ta Tong.
Transfer by vehicle to Bac Yen town.
Overnight at hotel/homestay.
Early transfer to Xim Vang commune.
Start trekking through dense forest to the iconic “Dinosaur Spine” ridge.
Set up camp near summit area.
Overnight camping under the stars.
Reach the Ta Xua Peak (2,865m) – the second summit of the tour.
Descend, lunch, and transfer to Ta Leng commune.
Rest and overnight at homestay.
Morning trek to Ta Lien Son (2,996m) – the final and highest peak of the journey.
Descend in the afternoon and return to base.
Drive back to Hanoi. Arrival around 9:00–10:00 PM.
End of tour.
