Itinerary
The tour kicks off at 9:00 AM, with our guide from Trekkingtoursapa meeting you either at your hotel in Sapa Town or at the front of the town’s main stone church. After a brief introduction, we’ll set out on a short walk, just five minutes, to reach a scenic mountain trail.
Our path leads us through peaceful valleys filled with cardamom trees—a prized local plant—before descending toward Suoi Ho, a quiet village inhabited by the Black Hmong. Along the way, you’ll come across traditional stilt houses and farm animals like water buffaloes, chickens, pigs, and more. The route offers breathtaking views of cascading rice terraces and surrounding mountains.
Next, we follow a trail weaving through the paddies to reach Ma Tra Village. Here, we’ll pause for lunch at a local eatery run by a Hmong family, where you can enjoy your meal on a terrace with stunning natural views.
In the afternoon, we continue our journey to Ta Phin Village, home to both the Black Hmong and Red Dao ethnic groups. This is your chance to explore the unique cultural practices of each group—such as the Hmong’s marriage customs and the Red Dao’s herbal healing knowledge.
Before heading back, you’ll visit the fascinating Ta Phin Cave, which extends deep into the mountain, and observe local women creating intricate brocade textiles by hand.
The tour concludes with a drive back to Sapa Town around 3:30 PM—perfect timing if you plan to catch an evening bus to Hanoi or another destination.
